Brake lines made of braided stainless steel fabric have long been reserved only for motorsport or tuning.

In everyday use, braided brake lines bring decisive advantages. Due to the exact pressure point and a more precise dosage of the brake, the pedal travel is shortened and the brake system reacts immediately even in suddenly arising, dangerous situations, also in vehicles equipped with ABS.

In contrast to originally installed rubber hoses, probrake stainless steel braided lines remain reliably heat-resistant and do not become porous. Therefore that the time-consuming interval between brake fluid changes, especially on ABS models, can be significantly extended.

External influences such as stone chipping or marten bites cannot harm our hoses due to the Teflon inner core and the 8-ply woven steel braided brake hoses. probrake lines offer the highest level of safety. This benefits not only sporty drivers, but also SUVs, cars with trailers and motorhomes.

We manufacture your brake lines with connectors made of V2A stainless steel suitable for your car. 100% made in Germany. The probrake steel braided lines are manufactured in Teningen near Freiburg.

Do the steel braided lines have to be registered in Germany?

The necessary ABE (general operating permit) is included with your steel braided kit. The registration at the TÜV is not necessary, so there are no further hidden costs.
Clutch lines are generally exempt from registration. (In this case, the KBA marking is omitted).

Can the connections be twisted / the line is twisted in itself?

The probrake Stahlflex connectors have a special twisting system. This allows you to align the fittings on the brake lines without twisting and to adapt them perfectly to your car.

What material are the fittings made of?

In the car sector, we only use high-strength fittings made of V2A stainless steel.

Do I need additional parts for the installation?

No, everything you need for the conversion is included in the steel flex kit.

Do I need new banjo bolts to mount the lines?

No, stainless steel banjo bolts are included in the steel flex kit if required. These are listed separately in the enclosed accessories.

Do sealing washers have to be ordered separately?

No, if sealing rings are required, suitable ones are included in the steel flex kit in sufficient quantity.

How many lines does a kit contain?

The number of cables depends on the vehicle type and the type of installation. The number of pieces is noted in the respective product description.In general, one kit replaces all the rubber lines in your vehicle.

PR number of the VAG Group?

The VAG Group uses three-digit PR numbers. Behind these PR numbers is the unique identification of all equipment features. These PR numbers can be found in the boot, in the service booklet and on the customer service data carrier. If you own a vehicle from the VAG Group and need spare parts for your brake system, you can easily enter the PR number here.In this way, the correct components for the respective vehicle and brake system are assembled.
