Lever guards

No, approval or registration of the probrake lever guards by the TÜV is not necessary.

All our brake lever guards are engraved with a KBA number on the inside and 99% of them have a general operating permit (ABE), which makes them registration-free.

The corresponding parts certificate and the ABE booklet are included with the lever guards. It is sufficient to carry the enclosed ABE booklet with you and be able to show it on request.

The general operating license (ABE) is an official document that is only valid in paper form.

For security reasons, we do not offer the ABE in digital form.

If you have misplaced your ABE booklet, you can easily reorder it in our online store for a small service fee.

ABE in preparation means that we are constantly working on expanding and updating our range. New models that have recently been added to our range may not yet be listed in the current General Type Approval (ABE).

We regularly update the ABE to include all new models. Until a model is officially included in our ABE, we provide a manufacturer’s declaration.

With this declaration you can easily register the probrake lever guards with an expert.

No, no additional accessories or mounting materials are required to install our Lever Guards.

Unlike other manufacturers, we already include all the necessary adapters and mounting materials in the scope of delivery.

Our lever guards are specially designed for specific vehicle models and model years to ensure a perfect fit. They are supplied with vehicle-specific adapters that are precisely matched to the specified model and year of manufacture.

When ordering, please make sure that you first specify the model type and then the year of manufacture of your vehicle (not the date of first registration). If your vehicle model is not listed, please contact us so that we can help you.

Yes, spare parts for our lever guards can be ordered individually. If you need a replacement part after a fall or accident, for example, please send us an e-mail. It is best to attach a photo of the part in question and provide your contact details, the desired color and the side that needs to be replaced. We will then manually place an order for you and send you all further information.

Yes, you can fit the lever guards yourself. The conversion is easy even for less experienced mechanics, as each set comes with detailed installation instructions. These instructions guide you through the process step by step so that you can fit the lever guards safely and correctly.
