Brake & clutch levers

No, almost all of our lever models do not require TÜV approval or registration, as they already have a general operating licence (ABE).

The KBA number confirming this type approval can be found engraved on the inside of your new probrake lever. Simply keep the ABE booklet supplied to hand and present it if required.

Further details on the ABE and its meaning can be found in the product description on our website.

The general operating licence (ABE) is an important document that you should always carry in paper form.

If the ABE is lost, you can order a new ABE in paper form for probrake products from our online shop for a service fee.

Our range is constantly being expanded and sometimes new models are not yet included in the current general operating licence (ABE). However, we regularly update our ABE to cover the latest models.

For models that are not yet included, we enclose a manufacturer’s declaration. With this declaration, you can have the levers checked and registered by an expert.

Yes, as a manufacturer, we offer you the option of ordering individual brake and clutch levers as well as the corresponding spare parts. Just take a look at our accessories & spare parts probrake levers page to find the right accessories.

Yes, our levers can be easily replaced even by non-experts. You don’t need any special tools and the system doesn’t need to be bled.

Installation is simple and can be carried out quickly, so you can replace your levers yourself with little effort and no prior technical knowledge.

The adapters shown on the homepage may be sample images.

As soon as you have selected the correct motorbike model, we guarantee that the appropriate, model-specific adapters will be fitted to the levers.

These may differ in shape and size from the sample images, but are precisely matched to your motorcycle model.

Our levers are specially adapted to the respective model and year of manufacture. Please always order on a vehicle-specific basis by first searching for the model type and then the year of manufacture (not the initial registration).

If you cannot find your vehicle in our list, please contact us. We will be happy to help you find the right solution for your motorcycle.

In the event of a fall, our levers are designed to minimise damage!

The Midi, Edition, Stage, Core and Picco models have a predetermined breaking point. This is designed in such a way that the lever breaks when a strong force is applied to prevent further damage to the motorbike.

The Tector and Tec2 models are equipped with a folding function that folds upwards in the event of a fall or crash. This function protects the fittings and reduces the risk of serious damage.

Our levers are approx 3 cm shorter than the original levers. You can operate them comfortably with two to four fingers.

The Tector and Tec2 models also offer infinitely variable length adjustment, allowing you to adjust the lever length to your exact requirements.

Further details on the differences between the lever types can be found in the “Lever types in comparison” section in the respective product descriptions.

All our levers offer you a 6-position adjustment of the distance to the handlebar so that you can adjust the lever precisely to your grip width.

Our Tector and Tec2 models, which also offer infinitely variable length adjustment, provide even more customisation. This function allows you to adjust the length of the lever exactly to your personal preferences and needs.

If your motorcycle model is not listed in our vehicle list, you are welcome to send us photos of the original levers together with a copy of your registration document by email.

We will then check whether we can offer suitable levers for your motorbike. If we have suitable adapters in stock, there is the possibility of including your model in the next extension of our ABE.

Until then, we will provide you with a manufacturer’s declaration.
